Navy Shell Cordovan Apple Watch Strap
Entirely handmade Navy Shell Cordovan watch strap.
Black Shell Cordovan from the tannery Rocado in Tuscany, Italian is one of the finest shell cordovan tanneries. Shell Cordovan is a membrane located in the rump area of a horse and is known to be one of the most durable leathers available.
Our watch straps are lined with Zermatt Calfskin from the tannery Haas, which is a hypoallergenic and water resistant calfskin.
Sizing
- Petite- 95mm/60mm will suit a 127.5 mm - 146.5 mm wrist size.
- Short- 105mm/65mm will suit a 145 mm - 167.5 mm wrist size.
- Standard- 115mm/75mm will suit a 162.5mm - 182.5mm wrist size.
- Long- 125mm/85mm will suit a 182.5 mm - 212.5 mm wrist size.
Care & Maintenance
With our leather straps, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact with, and submerging the strap in water.
Wiping down the lining with a damp cloth or towel every few months will prevent sweat and gunk from building up.
316L Stainless Steel Hardware
Our Apple Watch straps are equipped with high-qualtiy 316L Stainless Steel buckles and adapters. We offer four colours (stainless steel, gold, rose gold and black PVD) to be a close match with your Apple watch. Our yellow gold hardware are customised to match with the light gold of the Series 7, 8 and 9.
Saddle-Stitched by Hand
Using natural linen thread, we use the traditional saddle stitch method to hand stitch the strap. Unlike machine stitching (lock-stitch), saddle stitching creates a knot at every stitch to ensure greater durability.
Smooth Edges Sealed with Edge Paint
Our edges are finished with multiple layers of edge paint to seal the raw edges from wear-and-tear. The edges are sanded and edge paint is applied. After the first layer of edge paint has dried, another round of sanding and another layer of edge paint is applied. This process repeats until the edge paint is smooth and uniform. We then apply a light layer of wax and polish the edges for a silky smooth finish.
